ABOUT US
WOTW: A Brief History
Founded in 2023 by a Marine Corps veteran, Warriors of the Wind (WOTW) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 99-0547679) with the mission of enriching the lives of American veterans and first responders. The WOTW Board of Directors is a team of highly skilled and accomplished business professionals, including veterans from all branches of military service. All board members are patriots and are committed to the success of our organization and our mission. WOTW will maintain ongoing financial transparency to our generous donors.

What started as a YouTube motorcycle meditation channel for veterans, YouTube.com/@DallasTheVoice quickly spread into other social media platforms and gained thousands of online subscribers with tens of thousands of video views. The videos contain scenic motorcycle footage with book readings and meditative music designed to heal the brain from trauma. The viewer response to these videos has been noteworthy but in June 2023 everything changed; a Marine sergeant dared his captain to make a documentary film about suicide prevention in the veteran community and WOTW was born. The dare was to do good on a massive scale and share it with the world through television media. Both Marine veterans involved in this dare participated in the 2003 invasion of Iraq. In the years since, both men have lost fellow Marines from their combat unit to suicide, dangerous behaviors, and substance abuse. WOTW believes the answer to suicide prevention and self-harm is focusing on the solution rather than the problem. We don’t talk about suicide; we talk about health and wellness. WOTW’s focus is connecting veterans throughout the country by way of motorcycling, camaraderie, and sharing of knowledge and resources with fellow veterans. Upon leaving the military, it is far too common for veterans to experience isolation, depression, anxiety, and hopelessness. We aim to proactively fix this.

WOTW is actively seeking corporate sponsorship to help the foundation document the journey of our growing organization through television media and corporate alliances. Motorcycles are our preferred method of connecting veterans of all ages across the country. WOTW intends to make an impact for veterans and first responders in all 50 states. Our long-term plan is to build a battalion of veteran motorcyclists one platoon at a time with five Warrior Ranches throughout the country. Each ranch will provide temporary housing for homeless veterans while providing needed assistance to help them reintegrate into society. At full-strength our goal is 500 veteran motorcyclists who will seek out other veterans needing assistance - a 'pay-it-forward' snowball effect that is desperately needed.

One way our foundation intends to fundraise is through YouTube subscribers; we need thousands to succeed. Please subscribe at the YouTube QR Code below (ask a kid if you need help). In coming years, veterans from all 50 states will be contributing video content to expand our platform while sharing their stories of hope and healing through cinematography via YouTube and social media.

All veterans matter. They are the backbone of our United States. Please help us honor them by reminding them that their service and sacrifice haven’t been forgotten. We thank you for your interest in our mission and welcome you to be a part of our journey. Donations in any amount are hugely appreciated and tax-deductible. Thank you for your generosity.
